lodging house mission

The Lodging House Mission works to assist Glasgow’s most disadvantaged citizens – homeless and excluded men and women. Most of them struggle with drug and alcohol addiction, severe and enduring mental health issues and challenging, difficult lives.

The centre provides a café, access to shower facilities, help and support from care staff, chaplaincy services, education and activities programmes. Lodging House Mission also hosts the annual Glasgow Winter Night Shelter.

St John’s-Renfield has had an interest in the Lodging House Mission for many years. Our support includes donations over the Christmas period, purchase of Christmas cards, harvest thanksgiving gifts, response to appeals and the Lodging House Mission stall at St John’s-Renfield Charity Fair. A group of our members are also now part of a rota where individual churches provide a team of volunteers to cover Saturday duties at Lodging House Mission.
